Optimising Kidney Utilisation - short course

Decisions on whether to accept or decline a deceased donor kidney transplant offer, and who best to implant an organ into, are challenging and complex.

Clinicians from Guy’s & St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust (GSTT) will be hosting a 1 day online course on Wednesday 16th June, with the aim of providing a framework and evidence-base in how to approach these decisions.

This course is designed for transplant surgeons and nephrologists with an interest in deceased donor kidney transplantation.

Attendees will be provided with pre-course reading material to facilitate their learning on the day. The course will be run virtually on MS Teams, with 10 lectures given by course hosts and external speakers. These lectures will be split across 3 sessions and followed by a final session for group based discussion.

In addition to the live talks, you will be sent one additional pre-recorded talk on "Machine perfusion in deceased donor kidney transplantation" given by Ben Phillips.

For further information please see the course flyer, Registration is now open with an early bird fee available until the 30th April. You can book your place here.
