Second national meeting of the British Renal Society Transition Special Interest Group

Objectives

  • To highlight, discuss and share practical aspects of improving health outcomes for young people with kidney problems through transition and within adult services
  • Explore and learn about broader themes of young adult life along with emerging topics e.g. legal highs, transition in mental health services, sleep deprivation in young adults, practical service models research from the @SPEAKstudy and much more
  • Be inspired by @queenofdialysis, @Sarahlouby1986, @ChrisIngram96, Renal Patient Facebook Support Group and hear first-hand stories from young people affected by kidney conditions
  • This study day would be relevant to all involved in the provision of young people and transition services, regardless of discipline.
