Expressions of interest sought – Patient Safety Committee Working Group: safe prescribing in kidney disease
The Patient Safety Committee is seeking expressions of interests from colleagues to produce a consensus document on the safe prescribing of opiates in kidney disease.
There is a requirement for this consensus document following a recent Regulation 28 from the Coroner, as the evidence base is unlikely to be of sufficient quality to support NICE-accredited guidance to be produced.
This call is going out to Renal Association members, British Renal Society and associated affiliate groups, seeking colleagues with expertise in the safe prescribing and administration of opiates for people with CKD and AKI.
If you are interested in joining the working group, which will be a sub-group of the safety committee, please submit your expression of interest in the form of short statement (max 500 words) outlining your reasons for applying, skills/knowledge/ experience & contribution you could make, along with a one page CV to the Renal Association Secretariat or British Renal Society Secretariat.
