Kidney Quality Improvement Partnership: Expressions of interest for medical co-leads (two posts) for the Renal Association.
The Kidney Quality Improvement Partnership (KQuIP) has been developed to provide quality improvement (QI) capability and infrastructure for the UK Kidney community. The core team consists of programme managers working with clinical leadership that has developed at a local, regional and national level.
There are three initial areas of focus for KQuIP:
- (i) three clinical projects to provide proof of principle for KQuIP
- (ii) to develop a sustainable infrastructure
- (iii) to support dissemination of QI in the UK.
We are now looking to appoint two Renal Association consultant members as medical co-leads for KQuIP. The co-leads will have geographical responsibility
- London and the South
- Midlands, North, Devolved Nations
and will work with multi-professional team leads appointed by the BRS.
KQuIP is now established in the large majority of the UK, and the initial clinical projects are maturing. There is close working with GIRFT and the Renal Transformation Programme, and it is envisaged that KQuIP will continue to develop into a regional model, with an increasing dialogue with commissioners and structured support for renal services within the integrated care provider model defined in the long term plan.
We are now looking for leadership for this next phase of KQuIP, working with the current chairs, and programme manager team.
Interest can be registered by sending a summary of your background in leadership and QI (300 words max) and a short curriculum vitae (two page) to Teresa Wallace.
For further detail and informal discussions please contact Paul Cockwell.
The closing date for expressions of interest is 31/01/2020
