Monthly Update: Think Kidneys AKI Programme
The biggest piece of work we have undertaken this month has been to send out AKI data to all of the 208 CCGs. Each accountable officer or CEO has received a report showing rates of AKI and we are now working on having a table on the Think Kidneys website. This should be available by next month. The CCG data will be sent out quarterly.
The editorial board is continuing its review of Think Kidneys resources, to ensure that they continue to be up to date, relevant and valid. The guide to managing children with AKI has been reviewed and published, and you can find it here.
The AKI and KQuIP programmes have worked together to secure an eLearning platform which will be free at the point of access to the renal community. We are now working with the delivery partner on our branding, after which the team will receive training. We will start to produce eLearning modules in the New Year.
The Think Kidneys App for Android and Apple has been updated and is currently in testing. Look out for the latest version, which will be available soon.
On 24th November, Think Kidneys are hosting a one-day conference at the RCP in London. Entitled “Kidneys for the General Physician Conference”, this will be a motivational, interactive day, with speakers secured from across the renal community. The conference is still open to booking, and you can book your space here
We are continuing to promote the work of the programme on our Twitter feed – and now have well over 2,200 followers. This has been a great way of sharing our work, and we are hoping that the momentum will continue and our followers will continue to increase. If you are on Twitter – make sure you are following @ThinkKidneys!
