Renal Association Administrator Job Advert

UK Renal Registry (UKRR) – Renal Association Administrator

  • Salary: £27,066.76
  • Contract: Full time, permanent
  • Hours: 37.5 hours per week, flexible working
  • Location: Bristol

We wish to appoint a self-motivated administrator, someone enthusiastic and forward thinking with great interpersonal skills to work within our growing team. The successful candidate should have a proven record of success in business administration, excellent communication and organisational skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.

This is a pivotal role within the UKRR. The post holder needs to be capable of handling complex and multiple tasks simultaneously and operate as a strong team player. You will be expected to work under pressure to meet deadlines and remain focused in an evolving environment. Previously experience in a paid membership organisation, charity sector or academic institution would be advantageous.

The UKRR is a high profile organisation within the field of nephrology and this is an exciting time to join our growing team. It was established by the Renal Association (RA), an independent body of specialist renal doctors with support from the Department of Health. Within this role you will be working for the UK Renal Registry on assisting with the secretariat duties for the Renal Association.

From its foundation in 1950, the Renal Association has been active in promoting and disseminating research that may ultimately improve outcomes for patients with kidney disease. The Association has also taken a leading role in the education of clinicians and scientists interested in kidney disease. More recently, it has become more active in issues around training of doctors and the planning and development of clinical services. The Association has become increasingly aware of the importance of healthcare delivery by a multidisciplinary team and is affiliated with the British Renal Society. The objectives of the Association are:

  • To advance, collate and disseminate knowledge of renal structure and function
  • To seek means for the prevention and treatment of renal disorders
  • To deal with any matters concerning the welfare of patients with renal diseases and the organisation of services for their relief

The UKRR collects data on patients with kidney problems. Its primary objective is to help drive the improvement and reduce unwarranted variation in the care of patients with kidney disease in the UK by the provision of comparative audits for the use of providers and commissioners, including audits of incidence and prevalence of Renal Replacement Therapy, centre-specific survival analysis and comparative analysis of quarterly laboratory data.

To further information on the role or to apply for this position please email a covering letter with your CV to Miss Sarah Evans, sarah.evans@renalregistry.nhs.uk.

Closing date: Sunday 14th May 2017. Overseas applicants must have a valid UK work permit.
