Renal Association: Call for Expressions of Interest – Deadline 15 May

Dear Member

The Renal Association is inviting your Expressions of Interest for 5 key positions within the Renal Association:

  • Nominations for the next President
  • 2 positions on the Executive Committee, including one Consultant Nephrologist who has been in post  less than 5 years
  • Chair of the Clinical Services Committee
  • Chair of Clinical Practice Guidelines Committee

Closing date for nominations and expressions of Interest is 5pm Monday 15th May 2017. Please direct all formal expressions of interest in writing directly to the Renal Association Secretariat, via email renal@mci-group.com

Nomination and election of next President of the Renal Association

Nominations are invited for the next President of The Renal Association. The next President will shadow the current President, Donal O’Donoghue, for one year as President-Elect before serving  a two year term of office starting in June 2018. The two year term as President is followed by two years as Past President.

The President is Chair of Trustees of the Association and the President-Elect will be a Trustee of the Association.

Applicants should provide a completed nomination form which can be found here including the names of a proposer and seconder, both of whom are members of the Renal Association but not Trustees, accompanied by a brief statement of intent (maximum of 500 words) describing their plans if elected.

Nomination for membership of the Executive Committee 2017

Nominations are requested from members of the Renal Association for two new members of the Executive Committee, including one Consultant Nephrologist less than five years since appointment as a consultant on Monday 15th May 2017.This is to replace Paul Warwicker and Rebecca Suckling, who will stand down in June 2017; we would like to thank both for their valuable contributions to the work of the Renal Association.

The Executive supports the wide variety of work of the Renal Association. The range and amount of professional work performed by the Association is ever increasing and requires engaged informed members to undertake this work. The Executive supports the Trustees in running the Association and influence the Trustees’ decision making through the work of special interest committee groups.

Expressions of interest, Chair of Clinical Services Committee, The Renal Association

There is a call for expressions of interest for the position of The Chair of The Clinical Services Committee within The Renal Association.The Renal Association would like to thank Alastair Hutchison for his commitment to the Renal Association while in this role.

This message is to invite expressions of interest from any Renal Association member in taking over this important role.

Chairs of the Committees of The Renal Association shall be appointed by the Executive Committee on the recommendation of an Appointments Panel comprising the Trustees and three elected ordinary members of the Executive Committee.
