UK Renal Registry Director – Position available
UK Renal Registry
£65,000-£95,000 dependent on experience
(Non-NHS, Bristol base)
The UK Renal Registry (UKRR) was set up by the Renal Association, an independent body of renal specialists in 1995. The Registry currently employs 20 staff and has a turnover of approximately £1 million per annum.
The UKRR provides a comparative audit service to renal units throughout the UK and is acknowledged internationally as a source of outcome data for patients in renal failure. Our annual report is available at www.renalreg.org. We have close links with the Department of Health in England and have entered a further exciting phase of research development projects (e.g. linkage with the English NHS Hospital Episode Statistics) aiming to improve comparative and meaningful national audit.
We seek a dynamic and innovative director with experience of large clinical databases who will manage the day to day operational aspects of the UKRR, support the Chair in acting as the ‘public face’ of the Registry and to undertake research projects. You will have the acumen, strategic vision and tenacity to deliver improvements within the UKRR, political sensitivity and negotiating skills to work and build partnerships with collaborating organisations plus a flair for leadership that helps you inspire others to deliver excellence.
Some UK and international travel will be required.
